Vinh Mai, MD

Dr. Vinh Mai is a board-certified family medicine physician with over 13 years of experience.   He specializes in Emergency medicine with a strong orthopedic and sports medicine background.   He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at UT Arlington and graduated with Summa Cum Laude.    Pursuing his passion for medicine, he attended Texas A&M School of Medicine in College Station, Texas, and graduated with honors.  He completed his residency at UT Health Science Center in Tyler, Texas, and fell in love with Emergency Medicine where he continues to work today in this field.  As he met different people in the ER, he felt that he was truly making a difference in their lives as he gets to treat them whenever they need medical help.  Because the practice of medicine is not a one-size fits all, he ensures that his patients are well educated on every option available to them.   

When not working, he spends time with his parents and siblings eating, cooking, baking, or attending concerts or sporting events.  Very proficient in the kitchen, he’s always serving authentic Vietnamese cuisines and delicacies (Vietnamese rice crepes (banh cuon), Vietnamese caramelized braised pork (thit kho to), and various fried rice dishes) with a crossover with another Asian dish.
